Welcome to the final module of Learning through Play in the Primary Classroom

Welcome to this final module, an introduction to Timetabling, Planning and Assessment. The intention of this module is to begin the conversation with teachers around critically reviewing the classroom timetable, in the hope we can better reflect the philosophy and practices of learning through play and modern learning practices.  

This module may challenge some – especially those who enjoy the stability and predictability of the traditional timetable model. The content is intended to challenge all educators to consider why we do what we do and have always done. Does this now reflect the practices we know are best for supporting the way children learn? How can we review what we do and reconsider a more common-sense approach to managing the ever-illusive 'time' component in our learning environments?
