This workshop is designed to grow great play leaders within the primary school sector, confident in their understanding of evidence-informed play pedagogy. We aim to challenge and offer opportunity for attendees to reflect on their current practices and philosophies, and those of their teams and colleagues, as they become accredited in the use of the Play-Based Learning Observation Tool (P-BLOT).
This workshop is suitable for principals, deputy principals and team leaders with the responsibility for ensuring the fidelity and rigor of play based pedagogies implemented in the classroom setting. Attendees will learn how to apply the P-BLOT to use a data-informed approach to ensure that teachers are implementing play pedagogy with fidelity in their classroom practices.
This is a 1 and a half day initial face to face workshop training event, followed by 2 x 30 minute zoom follow up sessions with Dr. Sarah Aiono in Term 1 and 2 2024.
